\nFall 2014 Lecture Series, “The New How”
\nAll events begin at 6 p.m. in Architecture Room N-107<\/p>\n

During the academic year 2014\/15, the Princeton School of Architecture will be hosting a series of conversations\/debates\/workshops aimed at addressing the new realms of instrumentality affecting the practice of architecture and the neighboring disciplines of urbanism, planning, landscape, and design. These instruments, mostly but not exclusively in digital form, have evolved in parallel to a process of the erasure of borders between artistic disciplines. While the disciplinary specificity of the traditional disciplines has become diffuse, these emerging technologies have acquired a progressively autonomous status, often acting as connectors across the old disciplinary domains.<\/p>\n

We will now temporarily suspend the what? and the why?, and focus on the how? in order to address these emergign technical constituencies. Through a series of interventions\/debates\/workshops we will identify these new practices based around technical skills, and question their practices, effects, and politics. Sessions will take place on Wednesdays during the Fall term (except 12\/2\/14). Every session will be focused on a particular modality of The New How.<\/p>\n
